Buzabout

The Buzabout Community Car Service is available to everybody if there is no bus where or when you wish to travel on the Shotley Peninsula

The Community Car is a door to door service for anyone of any age at the cost of a bus fare. It is free to valid National Travel Bus Pass holder. Young people under 15 and valid Explore Card holders pay Half Fare

Use it on the Shotley Peninsula to go to the local shops and pubs, to the doctors or to see friends, to connect with a train at Ipswich or Manningtree Stations, the 66 Bus at Bourne Bridge or buses to Colchester and Hadleigh at Manningtree and East Bergholt.
The Community Car is wheelchair friendly, but please advise the operator when booking.

The Community Car operates between the following hours:
Monday 7:00am to 7:00pm
Tuesday 7:00am to Midnight
Wednesday 7:00am to Midnight
Thursday 7:00am to Midnight
Friday 7:00am to 2:00am (Saturday)
Saturday 9:00am to 2:00am (Sunday)
Sunday 9:00am to Midnight

The Buzabout Dial-a-Ride wheelchair friendly minibus provides a door to door supermarket service for Shotley Peninsula residents unable to use public transport due to mobility problems, age, frailty etc.

A weekly service is provided every Wednesday except the final Wednesday in the month when the service will operate on Tuesday. Fares are similar to those charged by bus. Babergh District Council Travel Vouchers are accepted but not Free Travel Bus Passes or Explore Cards. Morning or afternoon services can be booked to:-
Sainsbury's - Hadleigh Road, Tesco's Copdock, ASDA and Morrison's.
The 10 seat minibus is also available to community groups.

Requests for bookings for the Buzabout Community Car can be made up to 7 days in advance.
